SPARC Enterprise M8000
The SPARC Enterprise Server M8000 is a highly reliable, enterprise-grade, vertically-scalable systems that addresses the high-end processing
requirements of mission-critical IT projects. The high-end model SPARC Enterprise M8000 scales up to 16 x SPARC64 VI Dual-Core CPUs or 16 x
SPARC64 VII Quad-Core CPUs, thus having up to 64 cores. With symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) scalability from two to 16 processors, memory
subsystems as large as 1.024 GB, and high-throughput I/O architectures, SPARC Enterprise servers easily perform the heavy lifting required by
workloads such as global enterprise resource planning (ERP), intensive data mining, and complex database transactions. Furthermore, high-end
SPARC Enterprise servers include built-in features such as Dynamic System Domains, eXtended system boards, and Dynamic Reconfiguration,
bringing mainframe-class sophisticated resource control to an open systems compute platform.
