Connecting external devices
Connecting external devices
Under all circumstances, please obse rve the safety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Page 12 chapter before connecting or disconnecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC .
Always read the documentation supplied with the device you wish to connect.
Never connect or disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. Always grasp the plug.
With some devices, such as USB devices, it is not necessary to switch off
the Table t PC and the device before co nnecting/disconnecting. For m ore
information about whether or not devices need to be switched off, please r efer
to the documentation supplied w ith your external device.
Some of the external devices re quire special drivers (see the operating
system and external device docume ntation).
Connecting an external monitor to the
micro HDMI port
HDMIport
ThemicroHDMIportcanbeusedtoconnectanexternalamplifier, LCD TV
or a plasma TV with an HDMI connection.
► Con nect the data cable to the
external device.
► Con nect the data cable to the micro
HDMI port.
Some LCD televisions have only two speakers/speaker ports and therefore
cannot reproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. To play back HDMI sound, you
must change th e HDMI sound settings accordingly.
You can find the settings under Control Panel - Hardware and Sound. Deactivate the
settings f or DTS Audio and Dolby D igital to enable playback of HDMI sound.
