This equipment meets the applicable Industry Canada Terminal Equipment Technical
Specifications. This is confirmed by the registration number. The abbreviation, IC, before
the registration num ber signifies that registration was performe d based on a Declaration of
Conformity indica ting that Industry Canada technical specifications were met. It d oes not
imply that Industry Canada approved the equipm ent. Before connecting this equ ipment to
a telephone line the user should ensure that it is permissible to connect this equ ipment to
the local telecommunication facilities. The user should be aware that compliance with the
certification standards does not prevent service degrad ation in some situations.
Repairs to telecomm unication equipment should be m ade by a Canadian authorised
maintenance facility. Any repairs or alterations not expressly approved by Fujitsu or
any equipment failures may give the telecommunication company cau se to r equest the
user to disconnect the equipment from the telephone line.
NOTICE:
The Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) for this terminal equipment is 0.0. The REN assigned
to each terminal equipment provides an indication of the maximum number of terminals
allowed to be connected to a telephone interface. The termination on an interfa ce m ay
consist of any combination of device s subject only to the requirement th at the sum of the
Ringer Equivalence Num bers of all the devices does not exceed five.
CAUTION:
For safety, users should ensure that the electrical ground of the power utility, the
telephone lines and the metallic water pipes are connected toge ther. Users should NOT
attempt to make such connections themselves but should contact the app ropriate electric
inspection authority or electrician. This may be particularly important in rural areas.
