High availability, performance, robustness and flexibility are now demanded more than ever at data centers. Yet they also require the appropriate
solution. Servers with the powerful generation of SPARC64 processor technology in conjunction with Solaris 10 are now available to meet these
standards.
The SPARC64 based models of the high-end SPARC Enterprise M8000 and M9000 systems are persuasive platforms. They have been developed to
deliver maximum availability in conjunction with the very best performance and a broad range of applications. Your IT business processes are always
available at any time with the Fujitsu SPARC Enterprise family. This sophisticated SPARC64 -based server generation sets new standards in terms of
performance, quality and functionality. The world’s most used UNIX operating system, Solaris™, is deployed. Thanks to the servers’ unique flexibility in
adapting to changing priorities, unused and unsuitable resources are a thing of the past. IT organizations thus have more powerful and resilient
infrastructures, optimized hardware utilization and consequently lower costs.
SPARC Enterprise M9000
The SPARC Enterprise Servers M9000 models are highly reliable, enterprise-grade, vertically-scalable systems that address the high-end processing
requirements of mission-critical IT projects. There are two different models, the SPARC Enterprise M9000-32 with up to 32 CPUs and SPARC
Enterprise M9000-64 with expansion cabinet for up to 64 CPUs (up to 256 cores with Quad-Core CPUs). With symmetric multiprocessing (SMP)
scalability from two to 64 processors, memory subsystems as large as 4 TB, and high-throughput I/O architectures, SPARC Enterprise servers easily
perform the heavy lifting required by workloads such as global enterprise resource planning (ERP), intensive data mining, and complex database
transactions. Furthermore, high-end SPARC Enterprise servers include built-in features such as Dynamic System Domains, eXtended system boards,
and Dynamic Reconfiguration, bringing mainframe-class sophisticated resource control to an open systems compute platform.
