System expansions
► Press on the retaining c lip until it you feel it engage (2).
► Close the casing (see "
Closing the casing" , Page 37).
If you have installed o r removed a PCI board, please check the relevant PCI
slot settings in the BIOS Setup. If necessary, cha nge the settings. Further
information is provided in the PCI board documentation.
Replacing the processor
► Open the casing (see "Opening the casing", Page 36).
► Remove the heat sink (see "
Removing the heat sink", Page 5 4).
► Replace the processor as described in the manual for the mainboard.
► Install the heat s ink again (see "
Installing the heat sink", Page 54).
► Close the casing (see "
Closing the casing" , Page 37).

Removing the heat sink
The shape and position of the heat sink are device-dependent.
► Open the casing (see "
Opening the casing", Page 36).
► Undo the screws on the heat sink.
► Lift the heat sink out of the casing.
You c an now replace the processor.

► Reinstall
theheatsinksothattheairflow is fed towards the back of the
casing (se
e arrow on the heat sink).
► Tighten the screws.
Never attach or detach fans during operation. This can cause problems
controlling the mainboard fan.
