FCC Radio Frequency Exposure statement
The available scientic evidence does not show that any health problems are associated with
using low power wireless devices. There is no proo f, however, that these low power wireless
devices are absolutely safe. Low power wireless devices emit low levels of radio frequency
energy (RF) in the microwave range while being used. Where as high levels of RF can produce
health effects (by heating tissue), exposure to low-level RF that does n ot produce heating
effects causes no known adverse health effects. Many studies of low-level RF exposure have
not found any biological effects. Some studies have suggested that som e biological effects
might occur, but such ndings have not been con rmed by additional research.
The wireless LAN radio device has been tested and found to comply with FCC r adiation
exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled eq uipme nt and meets the FCC r adio f requency
(RF) Exposure G uidelines in Supplement C to OET65.
The exposure s tandard for wireless devices employs a unit of m easurement known as the Specic
Absorption R ate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W /kg, and 1.6 W/kg by Industry Canada.
This de vice is compliant with SAR for general population /uncontrolled exposure limits in
ANSI/IEEE C95.1-1992 and Canada RSS 102, and had been te sted in accordance with
the measurement methods and procedures specied in OET Bulletin 65 Supplement C,
and Canada RSS 102. This de vice has been tested, and meets the FCC, IC RF exposure
guidelines when tested with the device operating conditions.
