Parameters for the Touchpad can be adjusted from the Mouse Properties dialog box located in the Windows Control Panel. DRAGGING Dragging means pressing and holding the left button, while moving the cursor. To drag, move the cursor to the item you wish to move.

Any software that contains audio files will also contain a volume control of its own. If you install an external audio device that has an independent volume control, the hardware volume control and the software volume control will interact with each other.

The supervisor password alone will not lock the system. You have to set both the supervisor and user passwords for the security panel to work. Setting Supervisor Password You must have set a supervisor password before setting any user passwords. The supervisor password can bypass the user password.

Some of these features are automatic and need no user intervention, such as those for the internal modem. Once your notebook goes into Dead Battery Suspend mode you will be unable to resume operation until you provide a source of power either from an adapter, or a charged battery. Once you have provided power, you will need to press the Suspend/Resume button to resume operation.

You can also increase your notebook’s memory capacity by replacing the original module with a higher capacity module (2 GB maximum).

Under the General tab, the amount of memory is displayed towards the bottom right of the window.
