12. Cleaning and Disinfection
The Cleaning and disinfection of the LX-7230N, ECG lead cable, and SpO
2
probe (sensor) shall be performed as follows.
CAUTI O N
Do not sterilize the LX-7230N, ECG lead cable, and SpO
2
probe (sensor) in
any manners, such as
radioactive rays, steam, or
ethylene oxide.
Cleaning and Disinfecting the LX-7230N
Cleaning
Clean the LX-7230N using squeezed gauze or an absorbent cotton cloth
dampened with alcohol or a neutral cleanser.
CAUTI O N
Clean the equipment frequently so stains can be removed easily.
To prevent injury, it is recommended to wear gloves when cleaning the
equipment.
Do not allow any chemical solution to enter the inside of LX-7230N or
connectors.
The LX-7230N cannot be sterilized.
Do not use organic solvents, thinner, toluene and benzene to avoid
damaging the resin case.
Do not polish the housing with abrasive or chemical cleaner.
Use only neutral detergent to clean the housing. Do not use chemical
cloth, scrub brush, abrasive, polishing powder, hot water, volatile solvent
and chemicals (cleanser, thinner, benzine, benzol, and synthetic
detergent for house and furniture), or sharp-edged tools. The surface
resin coating may be damaged, resulting in discoloration, scratches, and
other problems.
Disinfection
If there is a possibility of being infected, clean the LX-7230N using squeezed
gauze or an absorbent cotton cloth dampened with alcohol or a neutral
cleanser.
CAUTI O N
Do not immerse the connector parts of the LX-7230N in any chemical
solution to prevent connection failure.
When disinfecting the entire room using a spray solution, pay close
attention not to have liquids get into the LX-7230N or connectors.
