The unit does not respond to the
remote control.
- Aim the remote control directly at infrared sensor window on the front panel.
- Reduce the distance to infrared sensor window.
- Replace the batteries in the remote control.
- Re-insert the batteries with their polarities (+ / - signs) as indicated.
Buttons do not work or the unit
stops responding.
- To completely reset the unit, press and hold [STANDBY/ON Q] on the front
panel for 10 seconds to shut down the unit or unplug the mains cable from the
AC outlet for 15-20 seconds.
The unit does not respond to
some operating commands
during playback.
- Operations may not be permitted by the disc.
Refer to the instructions of the disc.
The unit cannot read BD / DVD/
CD.
- Condensation? (Let sit 1 or 2 hours)
- You are attempting to playback a disc other than one with one of the Logos on
page 16.
- Wipe the dirt off the disc or replace the disc.
Angle does not switch. - The angle cannot be switched for BD / DVD which do not contain multiple
angles. In some cases multiple angles are only recorded for specific scenes.
Playback does not start when the
title is selected.
- Check the settings in “Parental” menu.
The password for rating level has
been forgotten.
- Enter the default password “4737”, then your forgotten password will be cleared.
Cannot connect to the network. - Check if the LAN cable connection is properly made.
- Turn on the modem or broadband router.
- Check the network settings.
- Check if the broadband router and/or modem is correctly connected.
- Check the “BD-Live Setting”.
Cannot connect to the network
while my PC is connected to the
network.
- Check the content of your Internet service contract to see if your Internet Service
Provider prevents multiple terminals connecting at the same time.
The capacity of the SD card
decreased.
- Data may be written to the SD card when a BD-video that supports the virtual
package is used and an SD card is in the slot.
Cannot use the BD-Live function
or download of data does not
perform properly.
- Insert an SD card with enough space(1GB or more).
- Check if an SD card is correctly inserted.
- Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD card is not enabled.
Cannot play back BD-video (BD-
ROM Profile 2.0).
- Insert an SD card(1GB or more) which is formatted on this unit.

Some discs with BD-Live function require memory when playing back the content.
- Do not remove the card during playback.
- Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD card is not enabled.
Cannot play back Internet radio. - Check if the network connection is properly made.
- Check the firewall setting of the modem or router.
- For some stations, playback is not available on this unit.
Cannot play back the Internet
radio station in my favourite list.
- The station is busy or no longer active.
- Try again later.
The audio of Internet radio
station interrupted.
- vTuner server, station or the Internet connection is busy.
- The bit rate of the station is high.
The quality of Internet radio
audio is poor or noise occurs
during playback of Internet
station.
- The bit rate of the station is low.
Radio reception is poor. - If the signal is too weak, adjust the antenna or connect an external antenna for
better reception.
- Increase the distance between this unit and your TV or VCR.
- Tune in to the correct frequency.
- Place the antenna further away from any equipment that may be causing the
interference.

• Some functions are not available in specific modes, but this is not a malfunction. Read the description in this
manual for details on correct operations.
• Some functions are prohibited on some discs.
