THINGS TO DO FOR THE FIRST TIME Attaching the Base Fixing the Unit on Your Furniture You must attach the base to the unit to have it as a table top unit. Be sure the front and rear of the base match the proper direction. Screw this unit on your furniture tightly using wood screws (not supplied) in the 2 holes at the back of the base as shown. 1) Spread a thick and Recommended screw dimension : 5.1 x 20 mm soft cloth over a table as shown. Place the main unit face down onto it.
OPERATING CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS All operations described are based on the use of the remote control. Some operations can be carried out using the buttons on the control panel. PREPARATION FOR USE Installing the Batteries External Connection 1) Open the battery compartment cover. 2) Insert “R6/AA, 1.5V” penlight batteries into battery compartment in the direction as indicated by the polarity (+/–) markings. Batteries installed with incorrect polarity may damage the remote unit. 3) Close the cover. 4) Push the cover on its top side until it clicks in order to fit the cover completely to the compartment. [HDMI CONNECTION] HDMI connection offers the highest picture quality.
[COMPONENT CONNECTION] [VIDEO CONNECTION] RCA component video connection offers better picture quality. 1) Connect the component video output jack (Y, Pb, Pr) of your video device and the COMPONENT video (Y, Pb, Pr) input jack of this unit. Use an RCA component video cable (not supplied). RCA video connection offers standard picture quality. 1) Connect the video output jack of your video device and the VIDEO input jack of this unit. Use an RCA video cable (not supplied).
Cable Management [PC CONNECTION] Keep the cables through this holder to avoid tangling them. If you connect this unit and your PC, you can use this unit as a computer monitor. 1) Connect the monitor jack of your PC and the PC-IN (RGB) jack of this unit. Use a VGA cable with ferrite core (not supplied). Rear of this unit 2) Connect the audio line out jack of your PC and the PC-IN (AUDIO) jack of this unit. Use a mini-plug audio cable (not supplied).
SETUP FOR USE Initial Setting DTV ATV You need to set the followings to use the unit appropriately for the first time you turn on the unit. 1) Press [Q (standby-on)] to turn on the unit. • “Initial Setup” language menu will appear. Note: The settings may be limited by the location you purchased. 2) Press [K / L] repeatedly to select the menu language you want, then press [OK].

EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) DTV You can easily find a channel or see the detailed channel information. EPG gives you scheduled information of the TV programmes. 1) Press [GUIDE]. • EPG will appear.
Changing the TV Screen Display Mode For HD (High Definition) video signal DTV ATV You can select your favourite TV screen size. “Full” Press [ASPECT] repeatedly to switch the TV screen display mode. “Auto” For SD (Standard Definition) video signal “Zoom” “Expand” “Sidebar” “Auto” “Cinema” “14:9” “Full” “Auto” Selects the TV screen display mode automatically. This is the default. “Wide” “Full” Displays a 16:9 picture at its original size.

Advanced Picture Adjustment DTV “Flesh Tone” You can set to activate the flesh colours or not. ATV You can adjust the detailed picture settings according to your personal preference. 4) Press [K / L] to select “Flesh Tone”. 1) Press [MENU] to display the menu. 5) Press [0 / 1] to select the setting (“On, Off ”) you want. 2) Press [K / L] to select “Picture”, then press [OK]. “Adaptive Luma Control” You can adjust changes in the luminance of the picture.
PC Settings Sound Adjustment You can adjust the PC screen position, clock and phase. Make sure your PC is connected. DTV ATV You can adjust the sound settings according to your personal preferences. Country Setting “Auto Volume Control” You can set to keep a constant loudness differential between the TV commercials and the programs. C.I. (Common Interface) Parental Setting DTV DTV This unit is equipped with a C.I. slot. You can enjoy additional services with this function, for example Pay TV. The access restrictions menu will appear on the TV screen when a CI module is installed. ATV You can set the maturity rating, lock the channel, or set the password. 1) Press [MENU] to display the menu. 2) Press [K / L] to select “Parental”, then press [OK]. 1) Turn off the unit and unplug from an AC outlet.
Software Download “Maturity Rating” You can set the parental rating to avoid watching an inappropriate programme for your children. DTV You can update the current software when this unit detects a new version of software. 4) Press [K / L] to select “Maturity Rating”, then press [OK]. 1) When this unit receives software updates automatically, the following message will appear. 5) Press [K / L] to select “Parental Rating”. 6) Press [0 / 1] to select the age restriction.
MAINTENANCE Panel Cleaning Cabinet Cleaning • If the LCD panel should require cleaning, wipe it with a cotton or soft cloth. Before cleaning the panel, disconnect the power cord. • Wipe the front panel and other exterior surfaces of the unit with a soft cloth immersed in lukewarm water and wrung dry. • Never use a solvent or alcohol. Do not spray insecticide liquid near the unit. Such chemicals may cause damage and discoloration to the exposed surfaces.
