Playback
This unit can be output with HDMI, Component and Digital
Audio (COAXIAL) in VCR playback.
However, the image and the sound of VCR cannot be output
at the following condition.
• When switching to the VCR mode while recording in the
DVD mode.
• When selecting the DV channel (AV3).
• During DVD to VCR dubbing.
1 Insert a pre-recorded tape, then press [PLAY B]
to begin playback.
2 During playback, press [PAUSE F].
Playback will be paused and sound will be muted.
3 Press [PLAY B] to resume playback.
4 Press [STOP C] to stop playback.
5 Press [OPEN\CLOSE EJECT A] to eject the
tape.
Note
• When a tape without record tab is inserted, the unit will start
playback automatically.
• Tracking will be automatically adjusted upon playback. To
adjust the tracking manually, press [AUX G \ H].
Basic Recording and One-touch Timer
Recording (OTR)
• The desired channel is selected by pressing
[the Number buttons] or [AUX G \ H] on the remote
control.
• There is a tape with a record tab in the unit.
1 Insert a recordable videotape.
2 Select the recording speed using [REC SPEED].
• The desired recording speed is selected in SP or LP
mode by pressing [REC SPEED].
3 Select the desired channel to record using
[AUX G \ H] or [the Number buttons].
Press [REC] to start recording.
To temporarily stop recording or to resume it, press
[PAUSE F].
After the unit has been in pause mode for 5 minutes, it will
stop automatically to protect the tape and the video head
from damage.
VCR Functions
Common Procedures
1 Press [STANDBY-ON Q] to turn on the unit.
To play back a tape, turn on the TV and be sure to
select the input to which the unit is connected.
2 Press [VCR].
