Recording Recording mode This unit can record to DVD+RW/DVD-RW/DVD+R/ DVD-R discs. DVD+R/DVD-R discs can only be recorded to once. DVD+RW/DVD-RW discs can be recorded to and erased many times. This unit will record DVD+VR mode automatically. DVD-RW/DVD-R disc will be recorded in the DVD+VR mode automatically in this unit. You can select a recording mode among 6 options, and the recording time will depend on the recording mode you select as follows.

(Refer to page 37.) There is no need to finalize DVD+RW discs but to “Make Edits Compatible” (refer to page 65) for playing on other units after editing.

In some cases, “DVD REC indicator” flashes momentarily around the Timer starting time as the unit attempts to record.

To play a DVD, make sure that it meets the requirements for Region Codes and Color Systems as described below. Discs that have the following logos will play on the unit.
