General Product Fact Sheet
Cabinets are comprised of Brazilian Cherry, American Oak, American
Walnut Veneers. All veneers are book matched on the top and sides. Solid
Brazilian cherry is used for framing, leg structures and sliding doors.
MDF is our preferred substrate given its strength, smooth surface and ability to
be shaped. The MDF conforms to rigorous European E-1 standards as far as
emissions are concerned. Virtually no measurable emissions are present.
Cabinets with glass doors: tempered and lightly smoked.
Construction: We employ Butt Joinery, Mitered Butt Joinery and Dovetailing for
drawers. In addition, thick wooden dowels are hot glued in place between
panels along with larger metric screws that are used with solid wood cleats and
blocks.
Our finishes (with exception of high gloss) are matte with an approximate gloss
factor of 26%. We use an open pore finish so the grain of the wood can still be
felt. On the oak and walnut products, we use an acrylic finish and a
polyurethane on the Brazilian cherry. Both are water and stain resistant.
Back panels are ¼ MDF and are slotted (ventilation and wiring) and
removeable/interchangeable on the right and left side. The center back panel is
stationary.
All drawer glides are steel ball bearing components. Some are full extension
and other ¾.
We employ strict quality control standards.
Clean cabinets with a soft damp cotton cloth.
