Recepción de la Alerta de Socorro de Otro Barco General Cuando el FM-2721 recibe una alerta de socorro procedente de otro barco el LED (rojo) se ilumina y suena la alarma. 1. Silenciar la alarma pulsando la tecla [Cancel] (o esperar dos minutos). 2. Pulsar la tecla [Log] para abrir el menú de archivos Sel. Log. 3. Seleccionar Rcvd. DISTRESS y pulsar la tecla [ENT] para ver el contenido de la llamada de socorro. 4. Esperar hasta tres minutos para recibir la señal DIST ACK procedente de la estación costera.

Introducción A los Usuarios del FM-2721 Características Furuno desea hacer constar su agradecimiento por la consideración prestada a sus productos, en la seguridad de que muy pronto, el usuario, descubrirá porqué el nombre de FURUNO se ha convertido en sinónimo de calidad y fiabilidad. l Radioteléfono de 25 W. l Control “en la mano”. l Función de intercomunicador. l Transceptor compacto ocupando mínimo espacio. l Escucha dual: canal 16 y otro.
1. Instalación 1.1 Montaje Transceptor La unidad transceptora puede ser instalada sobre mesa, en mamparo o en techo. Tener en cuenta lo siguiente al elegir el lugar para el montaje del transceptor: l El equipo, especialmente la parte trasera, se calienta l Debe estar a salvo de salpicaduras de agua. l El lugar elegido debe ser capaz de soportar el peso durante la transmisión; conviene dejar espacio para la circulación de aire a su alrededor. del equipo.
l Para el montaje en mamparo, apretar los tornillos superiores (suministrados ) y las arandelas planas de tal manera que haya un espacio de 5 mm entre la cabeza del tornillo con arandela y las ranuras. Después apretar los tornillos y arandelas.
Microteléfono (Soporte) La longitud del cable del soporte del microteléfono es de 5 m (opcionalmente 50 m: HS-2721/RB-2721B); por tanto, situar éste dentro de 5 m desde el transceptor. Para acceder a los orificios de fijación del soporte, retirar la tapa de éste extrayendo los seis tornillos que la sujetan. Nota: El imán interno del soporte puede actuar sobre el destornillador.
Conexión de Antena (opcional) Seleccionar para la antena un lugar lo más alto y despejado posible, libre de la influencia de otras antenas. Las características de la antena deben ser las siguientes: Margen de frecuencia: 155 a 164 MHz. Impedancia: 50 W Polarización: Vertical Potencia: 25 W Calidad: Para ambiente marino La conexión entre la antena y el transceptor se efectua mediante cable coaxial de 50 W, tal como el RG-213.

Alimentación El equipo se alimenta de 12 V CC vía el cable suministrado, con fusibles (10 A) incorporados, que se conecta al conector correspondiente dispuesto en el panel trasero. Este cable es de 3 m; no obstante, si esta longitud no es necesaria, puede ser cortado para disminuir la caida de tensión en el mismo. Remote1, 2 Conectar aquí el cable de 10 pares suministrado.
Conector de antena Incorporar el conector tipo M al cable de antena según el procedimiento siguiente: 1. Eliminar la cubierta del coaxial en una longitud de 30 mm. 2. Dejar desnudos 23 mm del conductor central del coaxial. 3. Cortar la pantalla dejando 5 mm de la misma y estañarla. 4. Incorporar el anillo del conector al cable. 5. Incorporar el cuerpo del conector roscándolo en el cable. 6.
CH70 RX ANT Conetor para la antena opcional para el canal 70. SPKR Conector para el altavoz externo. IEC61162-1 (NMEA) Conector para el navegador. El FM-2721 acepta la entrada/salida de sentencias en formato NMEA/IEC61162-1. Es necesario el uso del conector opcional 17JE-23090 y del cable de interconexión tipo EV-SA7/0.16TAx2P (suministro local). Entrada: l GLL: Latitud y longitud. l RMC: Información de navegación. l GGA: Posición GPA, hora UTC. l ZDA: hora UTC, día, mes, año.
1.3 Conexión del Microteléfono Cable de 10 pares entre el soporte del microteléfono y el trasnsceptor Se suministran 5 m de este cable que debe ser preparado como se ilustra a continuación. El cable se pasa por el orificio en la base del soporte y se conecta al bloque de terminales interno. Cable del microteléfono Se conecta al conector en la parte baja del soporte.

Descripción Botón POWER (en el soporte): Enciende/Apaga el equipo. Tecla [ ]: Conecta/desconecta el altavoz. Tecla [Scan]: Arranca/para la exploración. Pulsar más de 1 segundo. Botón DISTRESS (en el soporte): Envía la alerta de socorro cuando se pulsa durante más de tres segundos. Tecla [H/L]: Alternativamente, selecciona potencia de 1 W ó 25 W. Pulsar más de 1 segundo. Led Alarm: Se enciende cuando se recibe una llamada DSC. Tecla [Call]: Envía la llamada DSC.

3. Operación Telefónica de VHF 3.1 Encendido y Apagado 3.3 Iluminación, Contraste El encendido y apagado del equipo se efectúa mediante el botón POWER en el soporte del microteléfono. El botón permanece iluminado en la posición de encendido. 1. Pulsar la tecla [ ] durante más de un segundo para abrir la pantalla de ajuste. 3.2 Escucha La normativa internacional exige que todos los barcos mantengan la escucha continua en el canal 16. 1. Seleccionar el canal 16 pulsando la tecla [CH16].
3.4 Selección de Modo: USA, INT, WX 3.6 Ajuste del Silenciador Pulsar la tecla [CH/INT/USA] durante más de tres segundos para presentar en la parte superior de la pantalla INTL, USA o WX. La secuencia de modo depende de la cinfiguración incial. Para canales privados, pulsar la tecla [Private]. El equipo estándar sólo dispone del modo internacional (INT). El silenciador puede ser ajustado automática o manualmente. Ajuste automático Pulsar la tecla [SQ.
3.7 Ajuste de Volumen del Altavoz Pulsando la tecla [H/L] durante más de un segundo se selecciona alternativamente el nivel de potencia de 1 W ó 25 W. Se dispone de un margen de ajuste de 00 a 10 con tres pasos de ajuste fino en cada uno de estos niveles. Cada pulsación de las teclas [ ], [ ], varía el volumen pero, la indicación del mismo permanece estable hasta que se alcanza el nivel principal siguiente.
3.11 Ejecución de una Llamada Telefónica 3.12 Escucha Dual 1. Seleccionar el canal 16 u otro previamente acordado. El modo de escucha dual permite observar el canal 16 y otro cualquiera. Este modo se selecciona como sigue: 2. Descolgar el microteléfono. 1. Seleccionar un canal. 3. Pulsar el PTT y decir: 2. 3.14 Intecomunicador 3.15 Bloqueo del Teclado La función de intercomunicador permite la comunicación entre dos microteléfonos conectados al mismo equipo. Algunas de las teclas pueden ser bloqueadas para evitar cambios accidentales durante la operación telefónica. En esta condición sólo las teclas [CH16] y [DISTRESS] son operativas. 1. Pulsar la tecla [IntC] durante más de un segundo. En el fondo de la pantalla aparece la indicación «Intercom».
4. Operación DSC En este capítulo se describe como efectuar una llamada DSC. Si en la preparación de la llamada no se entra ningún dato durante cinco segundos, el equipo vuelve al estado de espera. Durante la transmisión de la llamada en la pantalla aparece la leyenda «XXX call in progress»; XXX es el nombre asignado a la llamada. 4.1 Llamada de Socorro Urgente 1. Descolgar el microteléfono y encender el equipo, si no lo está ya, pulsando el botón POWER en el soporte del microteléfono. 2.
4.2 Llamada de Socorro mediante la Tecla [Call] Este método permite especificar la naturaleza del peligro en la llamada de alerta. 1. Pulsar la tecla [Call] para abrir el menú Call type. 4. A la recepción del acuse de recibo procedente de la estación costera, suena la alarma y se selecciona el canal 16. 5. Descolgar el microteléfono, pulsar el PTT y transmitir: 2. Seleccionar DISTRESS CALL pulsando la tecla [ ] y pulsar [Enter] para abrir el menú Send message. a) MAYDAY tres veces.
4. Desplazar la presentación mediante las teclas [ ] y [ ] para seleccionar la naturaleza del peligro entre las dis tintas opciones del menú. Entrada manual Teclear el ID con las teclas numéricas y pulsar la tecla [Enter]. 5. Pulsar la tecla [Enter] para enviar la llamada de alerta. 6. Seguir en el paso 3 del procedimiento descrito en el apartado 4.1 anterior. 4.3 Llamada DSC a un Barco Para enviar una llamada DSC a un barco proceder como sigue: Entrada Manual 1.

4.7 Llamada a Todos los Barcos Se usa normalmente para solicitar asistencia en situaciones en las que no procede una llamada de socorro, por ejemplo, una avería de máquinas. 1. Pulsar la tecla [Call] para abrir el menú Call type. NO INFO: La estación receptora ajusta el canal. MANUAL: Entrar el canal con tecla númerica. «CH BUSY» significa que el canal seleccionado está ocupado 5. Seleccionar el canal y pulsar la tecla [Enter]. 6. Verificar que «CH Busy» desaparece. 2.

Pulsar al tecla [Enter]. 4. Seleccionar ABLE pulsar la tecla [Enter]. 7. Pulsar la tecla [Call] para enviar la llamada.
5. Borrar los números pulsando la tecla [ 4.9 Entrada Manual de la Posición y Hora ]. Cuando se transmite la alerta de socorro son necesarios datos de posición y hora; estos pueden ser tomados automáticamente de un navegador o entrados manualmente vía el teclado, según el procedimiento siguiente. 1. Escribir el nombre del archivo (máximo 20 caracteres) y pulsar la tecla [Enter]. Para escribir signos alfabéticos, cada pulsación de la tecla [1] cambia el signo en la secuencia siguiente: Pueden ser memorizados hasta 25 números ID; proceder como sigue. 1. Pulsar la tecla [Setup] para abrir el menú Setup.
2. Seleccionar Tel. NO. entry y pulsar la tecla [Enter]. 7. Seleccionar el tipo de estación y pulsar [Enter]. Por ejemplo, COAST. 3. Desplazar la presentación, con las teclas [ ], [ seleccionar un número libre y pulsar [Enter]. 8. 4.13 Registro de Mensajes Envío de mensajes archivados El registro de mensajes almacena: los mensajes de socorro recibidos; los 50 últimos mensajes de rutina (los que no son de socorro) recibidos; los mensajes transmitidos. Estos tres tipos de mensaje se archivan en memorias separadas; cuando una memoria se llena, se borra el mensaje más antiguo para archivar el más reciente.
2. Seleccionar RCVD. ORDINARY, RCVD. DISTRESS o TRANSMITTED y pulsar la tecla [Enter]. 4. Pulsar la tecla [Enter] para presentar el mensaje. Registro mensajes ordinarios recibidos 5. Para borrar el mensaje, pulsar [ ] para seleccionar DEL y pulsar [Enter]. 6. Para transmitir (o contestar) el mensaje, seleccionar RESEND (o ANSWER) y pulsar [Enter], [Call]. 7. El signo en el fondo de la presentación significa que hay más mensajes; el signo significa que es el último.
5. Mantenimiento Aunque el equipo está diseñado para funcionar correctamente durante años, se recomienda efectuar ciertas operaciones de inspección y mantenimiento para minimizar la posibilidad de fallo y hacer óptimo su rendimiento. 5.3 Sustitución del Fusible En el cable de alimentación se incorpora un fusible de protección de 10 A. Si se funde, antes de reemplazarlo, averiguar y corregir la causa. 5.
6. Localización de Averías 6.1 Comprobación Simple La mayoría de los problemas en VHF se localizan no en el transceptor, sino en la antena y en su cable o en el sistema de alimentación. En la tabla siguiente se relacionan los fallos más frecuentes y que pueden ser sresueltos por el usuario. EN NINGUN CASO INTENTAR ACCEDER AL INTERIOR DEL EQUIPO.

6.2 Diagnosis Esta función comprueba la correcta operación del aparato. 1. Pulsar al tecla [Setup] parw abrir el menú Setup. 2. Seleccionar Test y pulsar la tecla [Enter]. 3. Para salir de la prueba, pulsar la tecla [Cancel] varias veces.
6.3 Mensajes de Error En pantalla pueden aparecer los siguientes avisos que alertan de posibles fallos. PLL desenganchado Error del Remoto Error de Posición (Prioridad del Microteléfono) Pulse la tecla [Cancel] y «Update pos.!!» sustituye a «EPFS Error».

Apéndice Preparación del cable para el conector opcional 17JE-23250-02/17JE-23090-02 Cuando se conecta un segundo microteléfono en REMOTE2 y/o un equipo de navegación al puerto IEC 61162-1 (NMEA), son necesarios los conectores 17JE-23250-02 (para el microteléfono) y 17JE-23090-02 (para NMEA) y los cables correspondientes. Generalidades en la Operación de VHF Reglas y Práctica El FM-2721 satisface totalmente la normativa internacional del servicio móvil marítimo, en relación con las comunicaciones de VHF. Está destinado a ser operado por persona en posesión de la licencia de operador radiotelefónico y en una estación con distintivo de llamada. Se relacionan a continuación algunas normas y recomendaciones importantes en la operación radiotelefónica de VHF. ® Si el equipo está encendido, mantener la escucha en el canal 16.
Distancia de Comunicación El FM-2721 opera en la banda de VHF asignada al servicio móvil marítimo. La energía de RF en la banda de VHF se propaga de forma similar a un rayo luminoso; esto significa que las estaciones transmisora y receptora deben «verse». Aún cumpliéndose esta condición, la energía transmitida resulta atenuada a lo largo del camino recorrido. Así, la distancia de comunicación depende de la potencia del transmisor, de la eficiencia de la antena y de la sensibilidad del receptor.
