INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Dry fit all pieces before applying any adhesive.

Identify the following:

Sample Arch Spartan with Pedestal Base

Mantel

Lintel

Pedestal

Base

Hearth

1) Mantel

2) Lintel

3) Pedestal Base

4) Legs

5) Hearth

Legs

Note: Surrounds should be attached to a solid wall. Secure to wall with adhesive, screws

supplied by manufacturer. Avoid contact of adhesive to surface of surround. Do not over

tighten screws.

Install Hearth

The hearth is in one piece. Please handle with care. Before applying adhesive center the hearth on the

firebox, make sure hearth is level and push hearth against the wall. Once you have dry fit the hearth remove and

apply adhesive (furnished) to the under side of hearth and then install.

Install Pedestal Bases (if required)

On a 36" firebox (see drawing) PB are set at 35 ½” apart. Apply adhesive to underside and on back of

Pedestal Base. Set on hearth and push against the wall.

Install Legs

If needed legs can be cut to adjust for height of mantel to fit firebox. Apply adhesive on back side of legs.

Depending on the size of the box will determine where the legs are set. On a 36” box legs will be set 38” apart.

Make sure the legs are plum and level. (see drawing) At top of each leg is a metal strap that will be screwed to the wall (screws furnished). 4) Install Lintel After applying adhesive to the back of the lintel set lintel on top of the legs. Make sure the lintel is level, if not use shims that are provided. Make sure lintel sets tightly against the wall. They are a set of 2 metal straps that need to be screw to the wall. 5) Install Mantel Provided is a 2x4 that is 30” long. Measure the height of the mantel.
