1. SAFEGUARDS
Before using electrical appliances, certain safety precautions must be followed.
READ THE FOLLOWING WARNINGS CAREFULLY:
1.1 Before plugging in the appliance, make sure that the rating plate data match those
of the available power source.
1.2 Before use, place the appliance on a dry and flat surface.
1.3 Before plugging or unplugging, turn off the On/Off switch.
1.4 Do not operate the espresso maker without water in the tank.
1.5 Do not remove the filter holder while brewing coffee.
1.6 Be careful when steaming, as steam reaches high temperatures.
1.7 Never immerse the espresso maker in water.
1.8 Do not let the power cord touch hot surfaces.
1.9 Never use electric appliances with a damaged power cord. Have it replaced by your
Dealer or at an authorized service centre right away.
1.10 Do not use the espresso maker outdoors. Save it from atmosfpherical agents like rain,
snow, etc.
1.11 Do not use the espresso maker for any purposes other than those specified in these
instructions. The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any damage caused to the
espresso maker due to incorrect use or use not in compliance with these instructions.
1.12 Have the appliance repaired in an authorized service centre.
1.13 Let other potential users read these instructions.
1.14 Keep these instructions.
WARNING: Repairing the appliance by yourself may cause hazards to the user.
Note: "/C" stands for usage of sole pods, "/D" indicates the possibility to use both ground coffee
and pods.
2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 Filling the tank:
2.1.1 Remove the rear side tank cover lifting it upwards.
2.1.2 Lift out tank and the pipe hose located inside the tank, contemporary.
2.1.3 Fill the tank with water up to the 3/4 of its capacity.
2.1.4 Refit the tank and replace both the pipe and the tank cover.

2.2 Einschaltung
2.2.1 Sich davon überzeugen, daß Ihre Netzspannung mit der des Geräts übereinstimmt
(siehe Datenschild auf dem Gerät).
2.2.2 Den Leuchtschalter "A" drücken.
2.2.3 Einen leeren Behälter unter die Wasser-/Dampfdüse legen und die Wasser-/Dampfgriff
"E" drehen (Bild. 1).
2.2.4 Den Schlater "B" drücken um das Wasser Austritt.Den Schalter "B" nochmal drücken um
die Austritt des Wasser zu entbrechen.
Diese Handlung ist unerläßlich die erste mal die Kaffeemaschine eingeschaltet ist und,
es ratsam ist , sie zu wiedermachen in dem Fall das Gerät ganz ohne Wasser bleibst oder
es für eine lange Zeit unverwedet geworden ist.
2.3 Kaffeezubereitung (ART.030 und 030/D, ART.034 und 034/D, ART.042 und 042/D)
2.3.1 Des Gerät bietet die Möglichkeit, unter Anwendung von zwei Filtern mit einem
unterschiedlichen Fassungsvermögen, zwei Kaffeedosierungen zubereiten zu können
(für eine oder zwei Tassen).
2.3.2 Den gewählten Filter in den Filterträger einlegen, dann den gemahlenen Kaffee einfüllen.
2.3.3 Die Kaffeemenge nun mit dem Presser eindrücken und sie so kompakt machen.
2.3.4 Den filterträger in die Halterung einführen, dann von links nach rechts drehen und
gut festziehen.
2.3.5 Ist die Maschine betriebsbereit, leuchtet die Kontrolleuchte "D" auf (oder leuchtet aus in
dem Fall des Art. 042/D). Den Kaffeeschaler "B" drücken, daraufhin beginnt das
Durchlaufen Ihres Kaffees.
