Chapter 5: Set Up Your Display Devices
App Installation and Setup
Installing the app is easy! Simply download the Dexcom G6 App from your app store.
For information on how to install an app, see your smart device instructions.
If your smart device has been jailbroken or rooted, do not install the app. The app may
not work correctly or remain secure on a jailbroken/rooted smart device.
Is this your first Dexcom CGM app? If so, the app will walk you through setting it up.
If you’ve used the app before, for your convenience, the G6 imports your existing
settings. Either way, follow the instructions in the app: it knows if you’re new or an
existing user based on your Dexcom login. If you want more information about a step,
tap Help or Learn More. If you’d like, follow along with the steps below.
The following screens may look different than your app because of different operating
systems or updates.
