6 GAS DETECTION
6.1 VIEWING AND RESETTING GAS READINGS
Use the Gas options feature to view and reset the following gas readings for your device:
Peak Gas reading
NOTE: If they are unchanged for 24 hours, G6’s peak gas readings automatically reset.
Short Term Exposure Limit (STEL) reading
NOTE: STEL is applicable to H
2
S, CO, or SO
2
devices only. STEL is not applicable to O
2
devices.
To view and manually reset the peak gas reading:
1. From the Home screen, select by pressing the center
button.
2. Using the navigation buttons, scroll through the Global
Navigation menu and select
Gas options
by pressing the
center button (
).
The Gas options screen opens, displaying the most recent
peak reading and STEL reading recorded by G6.
NOTE:
For O
2
devices, the enrichment and depletion peak
gas readings are displayed.
3. To reset the peak reading, select by pressing the right
button.
