The HydroStop
PremiumCoat
®
Finish Coat is a
water-based acrylic top coat. Used in conjunction with the
HydroStop
PremiumCoat
®
Foundation Coat and Hydro-
Stop
PremiumCoat
®
Fabric, it creates the HydroStop
PremiumCoat
®
System which is a roofing and water-
proofing solution for coating, recover, reroof and new roof
applications. It provides a fully-adhered, adhesively attached,
breathable acrylic membrane and a complete roof cover.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION: Clean and prepare surfaces to
receive coating by removing all loose and flaking particles,
grease, and laitance with the use of a stiff-bristle push
broom and/or pressure washing. Care should be taken to
ensure that the substrate or surface is dry before applying
the coating. Use over HydroStop
PremiumCoat
®
Foun-
dation Coat. If used on metal, use GAF StableRust
Primer. See gaf.com for more details.
MIXING: Under typical conditions, mixing is rarely needed;
however, if needed, thoroughly mix the contents using a
power mixer for a minimum of 5 minutes prior to applica-
tion. For 2- or 5-gallon (7.6 or 19 liter) buckets, use a 3”
(76 mm) minimum diameter mixing blade.
APPLICATION: Apply a minimum of 2 coats. Each coat
must be dry and cured before an additional coat is applied.
All surfaces must be uniformly coated and free from voids,
pinholes, or blisters. Each coat shall be applied in a direc-
tion perpendicular to the previous coat. Apply with GAF
roof brush at a rate of 120 – 140 ft²/gal (2.95 – 3.43 m²/
liter) per coat. Apply with GAF roof brush or 1” (25 mm)
nap roller.
