Instrucons
• Roof must be clean, dry, and tight.
• Adhesion test required to ensure proper adhesion to substrate(s).
• If mechanically attached, plates must be encapsulated with Butter Grade Flashing.
• Apply at 50°F (10°C) and rising with no rain, dew, fog or freezing temperatures in
forecast for 24 hours.
• GAF recommends that the surface temperature be at or less than 110°F (43°C)
during application.
1. Before applying the HydroStop® PremiumCoat® System, an adhesion test is
required to ensure an adhesion of a minimum of 2.0 PLI. Test patches to be
applied with system rates listed below.
2. Ensure roof is free of dirt, debris, oil, and other contaminants that could
negavely aect adhesion.
3. The gypsum roof board should be at least 1/2” thick. Refer to local building code
for further coverboard and insulation requirements.
4. In most cases, no primer is required for this substrate. (Note: Using a compable
pre-primed gypsum board can prevent addional coang from being soaked into
the board, and it is preferred.)
5. All seams must be treated with flashing grade and fabric.
6. Apply HydroStop® PremiumCoat® Foundaon Coat and Finish Coat per the chart
below.

• Use GAF Roof Brush to apply HydroStop® PremiumCoat® Foundaon Coat
• Spray, roller, or brush apply HydroStop® PremiumCoat® Finish Coat

Note: DFT for 3-coursed rates includes 6 mils for the fabric.
