3.3. Reading Ranges
A GAT Lock 6010 F reads contactless data carriers via an RF field for
identification. The button of the lock is pressed with the data carrier in order to
activate the RF field. The range of the reading field depends on the thickness of
the locker door, on the door material, the type of data carrier and the diameter of
the button drill hole in the locker door. If the reading range is too low, due to an
inauspicious combination of these factors, no reading is possible anymore.
