Im Folgenden werden wir Ihnen die Funktionen und die Handhabung unseres Gerätes
erklären. Bitte nehmen Sie sich die Zeit und lesen die Gebrauchsanweisung in Ruhe
durch. Beachten Sie alle enthaltenen Sicherheits- und Bedienungshinweise. Sollten
Sie Fragen oder Anregungen zu diesem Gerät haben, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren
Fachhändler oder an unser Service-Team. Wir freuen uns, wenn Sie uns weiter emp-

1. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Dieses Gerät ist zum Vertreiben von Stechmücken konzipiert. Es erzeugt Schall-
wellen von 7.000 Hz, die Stechmücken als unangenehm empfinden. Stechmücken
meiden daher den Bereich in dem der Ton zu hören ist. Es wird in Wohnräumen
verwendet und direkt in die Wandsteckdose gesteckt und kann auch als Nachtlicht
verwendet werden. Eine andere Verwendung als die angegebene ist nicht zulässig!
2. Sicherheitshinweise
• Elektrogeräte, Verpackungsmaterial usw. gehören nicht in den Aktionsbereich von
Kindern. Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
• Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht durch Kinder ohne Beaufsichtigung
durchgeführt werden.
• Gerät nur mit der dafür vorgesehenen Spannung betreiben: 220 – 240 V~; 50 – 60 Hz
• Bei evtl. Reparaturen sollten nur Original-Ersatzteile verwendet werden, um ernst-
hafte Schäden zu vermeiden.
• In jedem Fall ist zu prüfen, ob das Gerät für den jeweiligen Einsatzort geeignet ist.
• Bewahren Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung auf und geben Sie diese bei Weitergabe
des Gerätes mit.
• Dieses Gerät ist nur für den Gebrauch im Innenbereich geeignet.
• Das Gerät muss gegen Feuchtigkeit, Nässe, extremer Kälte und Hitzeeinwirkung
geschützt werden.
• Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und Personen mit reduzierten physi-
schen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung oder Wis-
sen benutzt werden, wenn sie von einer Person, die für ihre Sicherheit verantwortlich
ist, beaufsichtigt oder von ihr bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unter-
wiesen wurden und sie die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben.
• Bitte entfernen Sie keine Aufkleber vom Produkt, welche sicherheitsrelevante Hin-
weise enthalten.
• Sollte das Gerät Beschädigungen aufweisen, dann stellen Sie die Nutzung des Ge-
räts ein. Schalten Sie die Sicherung am Sicherungskasten aus und ziehen Sie erst
dann den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
• Halten Sie das Gerät nie direkt an Ihr Ohr. Ultraschall Schallimpulse können Men-
schen zwar nicht hören, aber es herrscht ein hoher Schalldruck, der über einen län-
geren Zeitraum das Ohr belasten kann.

4. Inbetriebnahme
Der Gardigo Stechmücken-Feind sendet Töne aus, die den Flügelschlag von paarungs-
willigen Männchen imitiert. Die weiblichen Mücken, die schon befruchtet sind, suchen
jetzt Blut, um die Brut zu ernähren. Sie meiden Männchen und werden den Bereich
nach einer kurzen Zeit verlassen. Dazu wird das Gerät einfach in eine Steckdose ge-
steckt. Wir empfehlen das Gerät auch präventiv einzusetzen. Um die Stechmücken zu
vertreiben, sind folgende Maßnahmen zu beachten:
• Wählen Sie eine Steckdose, die nach vorne hin mindestens 1 m frei von Hindernis-
sen ist. Bringen Sie das Gerät nicht hinter Möbeln, Vorhängen oder anderen Gegen-
ständen an. Die Schallwellen müssen sich ungehindert ausbreiten können.
• Die Ausbreitung der Schallwellen ist abhängig von den räumlichen Gegebenheiten
und der Platzierung des Steckers.
• Der Stechmücken-Feind erzeugt eine Frequenz von 7.000 Hz. Diese Frequenz kann
von Menschen gehört werden, jedoch wird das Geräusch ab einer Entfernung von 1
m kaum noch wahrgenommen. Stechmücken reagieren auf diese Frequenz aller-
dings weitaus empfindlicher und können das Geräusch noch in 4 m deutlich wahr-
nehmen. Deshalb deckt der Mücken-Feind eine Fläche von ca. 25 m² ab.
Hinweis: Sie können die Ultraschall-Töne nicht hören, das Gerät kann jedoch mittels
LED-Anzeige als Betriebsbereit erkannt werden.
Hinweis: Die Reaktion der jeweiligen Tiere auf unsere Geräte kann variieren. Die Ent-
wicklung unserer Geräte, Methoden und Anwendungs-Tipps basieren auf Erfahrun-
gen, Tests und dem Feedback unserer Kunden. Deshalb ist die Tiervertreibung in den
meisten Fällen erfolgreich.

• Die CE-Konformität wurde nachgewiesen, die entsprechenden Erklärungen sind

• Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen, ist es nicht erlaubt, dieses Gerät umzubau-
en und/oder zu verändern oder einer nicht-sachgemäßen Verwendung zuzuführen.
• Es ist zu beachten, dass Bedien- oder Anschlussfehler oder Schäden, die durch
Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung entstehen, außerhalb des Einflussbe-
reichs der Gardigo liegen und für daraus resultierende Schäden keinerlei Haftung
übernommen werden kann. Dies gilt auch dann, wenn Veränderungen oder Re-
paraturversuche an dem Gerät vorgenommen wurden, Schaltungen abgeändert
oder andere Bauteile verwendet wurden sowie bei Schäden und Folgeschäden,
die durch Fehlbedienungen, fahrlässige Behandlung oder Missbrauch entstanden
sind. In all diesen Fällen erlischt auch die Gewährleistung.

room mosquito free. Just plug the device into a wall socket. For a successful use please
read the following instructions carefully:
• Select a wall socket that has no obstructions in front of it in a distance of at least
1 m. Do not use sockets behind sofas, curtains or other furniture. The sound has to
be able to distribute itself throughout the room without any obstruction.
• The distribution of the sound in the room depends on the room, the interior and
the positioning of the device.
• The Gardigo Mosquito-Repellent emits a frequency of 7.000 Hz. This frequency can
be heard by most humans, it will barely be registered. Mosquitoes can hear this
frequency with a high sensitivity and feel very uncomfortable, even at a distance of
4 m. Therefore the Mosquito-Repellent can cover an area of approximately 25 m².
Note: The ultrasonic sound cannot be heard by humans, but the device will indicate
its correct operation through the LED.
Note: the response of each animal to our insect killer may vary. The development of
our devices, methods and application tips are based on experience, testing and feed-
back from our customers. Therefore the devices are successful in most cases.

• The CE conformity has been proven and the declarations are deposited with us.
• For safety and conformity reasons it is not permitted to rebuild or modify the de-
vice and/or use it in any other way than described above.
• This device has a warranty of two years. As Gardigo has no control of the correct of
appropriate installation and use of the device the warranty can only be applied to a
fully equipped device in prime condition. We assume neither warranty nor liability
for damages or following damages related to this product. This applies especially if
it has been modifications or repairs have been made by the customer, if the circuitry
has been modified or components have been used other than the original compo-
nents and/or if the operation of the device has been incorrect, careless or abusive.

1. Designated use
This device is designed to repel mosquitoes from a room. It emits sound waves of
7.000 Hz, a frequency that mosquitoes find most disturbing. It is used indoors and
inserted directly into the wall socket and may also be used as a night light. Any other
use as the mentioned is not permitted!
2. Safety instructions
• Electrical appliances, packaging materials, etc. do not belong in the hands of chil-
dren. Children are not allowed to play with the device.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
• The device may only be used with the stated voltage: 220 – 240 V~; 50 – 60 Hz
• Repairs may only be made with original spare parts to avoid serious damage. If
original parts are not used the device can become dangerous and warranty and CE
become invalid.
• It must be determined if the device is suitable for the respective use.
• Keep these instructions in a safe place and pass them on when giving the device to
a third person.
• This unit is suitable for indoor use only.
• The device must be protected from dampness, extreme cold and heat. Make sure
that the device has sufficient ventilation.
• This device may be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or lack of
knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use
of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Do not remove any stickers from this device. The sticker may contain important
safety information.
• If the device should show any signs of damage or malfunction, do not use it. Be-
fore touching it, first disconnect the fuse in the central fuse box and then pull the
device out of the socket.
• Never hold the device directly to your ear. Humans cannot hear ultrasonic fre-
quencies, but they might the device emits at a high volume and then therefore
it might be harmful, if the ear is exposed to them over a longer period.

4. Getting started
The Gardigo Mosquito-Repellent emits sound that imitates the buzzing wings of male
mosquitoes. The female mosquitoes that will bite humans have mated and are now

4. Mise en route
Le répulsif à moustique Gardigo émet des sons qui imitent les battements d’aile d’un
moustique mâle voulant s’accoupler. Toutefois, les moustiques femelles, qui piquent
pour nourrir leur progéniture, sont déjà fécondées. Afin d’éviter les mâles, elles quitte-
ront la pièce très rapidement. Il suffit de brancher le dispositif à une prise de courant.
Nous recommandons d’utiliser le dispositif également de manière préventive. Afin de
vous débarrasser des moustiques, veuillez suivre les mesures suivantes :
• Branchez le dispositif dans une prise devant laquelle ne se trouve aucun obstacle
à moins d’un mètre. N’accrochez pas le dispositif à l’arrière de meubles, de rideaux
ou d’autres objets. Les ondes sonores doivent pouvoir se diffuser sans obstacle.
• La diffusion des ondes sonores dépend de l’espace disponible et de l’endroit où est
placé le dispositif.
• Le dispositif émet une fréquence de 7.000 Hz. Cette fréquence peut encore être en-
tendue par la plupart des personnes, mais à une distance d’un mètre, elle devient à
peine perceptible. Les moustiques sont beaucoup plus sensibles à cette fréquence
et sont incommodée par celle-ci même à 4 mètres de distance. Ainsi, le répulsif à
mouche couvre une surface d’environ 25 m².
Remarque : même si vous n’entendez pas les ultrasons, les indicateurs LED vous in-
diquent si le dispositif est en marche.
Remarque: chaque animal peut réagir diéremment à nos dispositifs. Le dévelop-
pement de nos dispositifs, les méthodes utilisées ainsi que les conseils d’utilisation
se basent sur l’expérience, les tests et le feed-back de nos clients. C’est pourquoi nos
dispositifs repoussent ecacement les animaux dans la plupart des cas.
