DESCRIPTION: Silver Dollar Aluminum Roof Coating is an asbestos free, reflective
a
nd protective, fibered coating with aluminum flakes suspended in a tough and flexible
v
ehicle of selected asphalt and solvent. Upon application, the aluminum flakes leaf to
the surface to form a reflective metal shield that insulates against the sun's destructive
r
ays, reducing interior temperatures to provide a savings on energy costs.
PREPARATION: All surfaces should be dry, clean, smooth, and in good repair. Surface
t
emperatures should be a minimum of 50°F and rising, not to exceed 110°F. Repair all
leaks and problem areas with White Roof Patch and Glass Fabric. (See back labels of
r
einforcement fabrics for specific repair instructions). Priming is recommended on worn
r
oof surfaces. Specific instructions should be followed according to manufacturers rec-
ommendations. When applying this product to a previously coated asphalt surface, it is
suggested that the surface weather a minimum of one full summer to prevent bleed-
t
hrough and alligatoring.
F
OR BEST RESULTS: DO NOT THIN. STIR CONTENTS WELL BEFORE AND DUR-
I
NG USE AS REQUIRED. Aluminum pigment and fibers settle out, and thorough stirring
is necessary to re-disperse these components prior to use. A power drill mixer can be
very helpful to mix product. In cold weather, store product in heated room (65°F to 80°F)
at least 24 hours prior to coating.
A
PPLICATION: Mix coating and apply evenly by brush or roller to the roof. Spread in

TE:
This product is not recommended f
or use on w
ood, asphalt shingles or roofs with
slopes less than 1% (or 1/8" per ft.). Standing water dulls aluminum, and may cause
adhesion f
ailure between the coating and substrate
. In w
armer weather, application to
steep slopes may result in some running of the coating until fully dr
y. Avoid foot traffic
for longest life. When buying multiple containers, it is recommended to match the batch
codes on the lids to avoid shade variances.
