Please check the aircraft warranty status before installation and/or with the aircraft

manufacturer for guidance.

ADS-B receive functionality is not available in a Field Approved Garmin

Integrated Flight Deck installation.

3.9.1.4 Retrofitting a non-Garmin Integrated Flight Deck Installation such as a

GNS 4XX/5XX(W) or GTC 650/750 unit with a GTS Processor

Configuration, software uploading, and Ramp Test and Return to Service Tests are accomplished using the

GTS Processor Install Tool (Section 3.8.2).

Installations that are unable to electronically display the software part number of

the GTS Processor should affix a label on the GTS Processor LRU marked with

the software part number to meet the TSO marking requirements. For the

installer’s convenience, a label has been applied adjacent to the LRU serial

number tag.

3.9.1.5 Non-Garmin Installations with a GTS Processor

Configuration, software uploading, and Ramp Test and Return to Service Tests are accomplished using the

GTS Processor Install Tool (Section 3.8.2).

Installations that are unable to electronically display the software part number of

the GTS Processor should affix a label on the GTS Processor LRU marked with

3.9.2 Using the GTS Processor Install Tool

The following tabs are accessible with the GTS Processor Install Tool. Changing tabs may cause the GTS

Processor unit to restart.

· Normal Tab – Reports System Faults, Status Flags, and Operating Status. Allows Ground

Test Mode to be Enabled or Disabled.

· Configuration Tab – Allows selection of installation options

· Upload Tab – Allows upload of software to GTS Processor unit

· Assert Tab – Generates the assert log which can be submitted to Garmin Technical Support

for troubleshooting.
