1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Install the SIM card.
3. Install the microSD card (optional)
(page 3).
4. Install the battery (page 3).
5. Replace the battery cover (page 3).
6. Charge the battery (page 3).
7. Register the device and check
eligibility for a free map update
(page 4).

1. Place your thumb in the centre of
the battery cover ➊ .

2. Locate the battery cover notch ➋
on the bottom of the device.
3. Insert your ngernail in the notch.
4. Prise the cover up.
5. Remove the cover from the device.

1. Slide the SIM card holder ➊
towards the top edge of the device
and lift up as directed on the holder.

2. Place the SIM card ➋ in the device
with the gold contacts facing down
and the notched corner near the
bottom of the device.
3. Close the card holder.
4. Slide the card holder towards the
bottom of the device to lock it.
