Locating the Media Converter Unit (continued)
First, locate an AC receptacle that is within six feet (2 meters) of the intended unit
location and plug in the external power supply unit (provided as part of the unit).
The small DC power cord from the power supply plugs into the matching “RJ-45
end” power jack of the “14” Media Converter unit, and when power is applied the
green PWR LED will illuminate.
Second, make sure the unit is installed in a location where convection
cooling is not inhibited.
