1 Recommendations And Suggestions Installation 1. Before servicing or cleaning the unit, unplug or disconnect the range hood from the power supply. 2. To reduce the risk of a range top grease fire: A. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Over-boiling causes smoke and greasy spillovers that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings. B. Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when flambeing food(i.e. Crepes Suzette, Cherries Jubilee, Peppercorn Beef Flambe). C.
Recommendations And Suggestions Installation • The manufacturer will not be held liable for any damages resulting from incorrect or improper installation. • Please read this instruction manual before installing and using this range hood. • Avoid free flame, as it may cause a fire hazard and do damage to the filters. • Constantly check frying food to prevent the overheated oil from becoming a fire hazard. • Disconnect the electrical plug prior to any maintenance or servicing. • Children cannot recognize the risks of electrical appliances. Therefore, children can only use the appliance under supervision of adults. And it's better to keep this appliance out of the reach from children.
4 Installation & Use Operation of Controls The hood is operated by using the push button/touch control on the front panel. The light switch turns the lamps on and off. The blower switch turns the blower on to three speed settings: - Off - Low Speed Model No. (Item No. ) - Medium Speed BI30SP (UT0775E-0108) - High Speed - Light Grease Filters The grease filters should be cleaned frequently. Use a warm detergent solution. Grease filters are washable.
Electrical Connection • Electrical wiring must be done by a qualified person in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. Turn off electrical power at service entrance before wiring. • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. • Do not use the plug and an extension cord other that the ones initially supplied with the hood. 6 Fitting under wall unit Note 1: Before attaching the hood to the wall unit, drill a hole of 6 �/₂＂diameter into the wall unit. Note 2: In any case, check the position of the power outlet where the power cable will run, since a hole might have to be made in the wall unit to accommodate it. 1. 4 Installation et utilization Fonctionnement des contrôles Le capot est commandé à l’aide du bouton poussoir / de la commande tactile situé sur le panneau avant. L'interrupteur d'éclairage allume et éteint les lampes. L’interrupteur de la soufflante allume la soufflante à trois vitesses: - Éteindre - Bas Vitesse - Vitesse Moyenne - Haute Vitesse - Lumière Model No. (Item No. ) BI30SP (UT0775E-0108) Filtre à graisse Le filtre à graisse doit être nettoyé fréquemment.
Connexion électrique • Le câblage électrique doit être effectué par une personne qualifiée conformément à tous les codes et toutes les normes applicables. 6 Montage sous l'unité murale Remarque 1: Avant de fixer la hotte au mur, percez un trou de 6½” de diamètre dans le mur. Remarque 2: Dans tous les cas, vérifiez la position de la prise de courant sur laquelle le câble d’alimentation sera raccordé, puisqu’un trou devra éventuellement être percé dans l’unité murale pour l'accueillir. 1.
