System key combinations
When you press the FN key and a system key at the same time,
your notebook performs the action identified by the text or
icon on the key.
Press and hold

Displays help on hotkeys.
<Fn> + <F2>
Display the System Properties
dialog box.
<Fn> + <F3>
Display the Power Options
Properties dialog box.
<Fn> + <F4>
Enter Sleep mode or Hybrid
Sleep mode. Press the power
button to leave Sleep mode. For

“Changing notebook power
settings” on page 47.
<Fn> + <F5>
Toggle the notebook display in
the following order:

The LCD
■
An external monitor or
projector (a monitor or
projector must be plugged
into the monitor port on your
notebook)

Both displays at the same
time

Turns the display screen
backlight off to save power. Press
any key to return.
<Fn> + <F7>
Turns the internal touchpad on
and off.

Turns the speakers on and off.

Increase the brightness of the
display.
