Editing track information
After you add a WMA or MP3 file to your music library, you can edit the track’s tags
(informational fields).
To edit track information:
1 Click (Start), All Programs, then click Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player
opens.
2 Click the Library tab.
3 Right-click the track or album you want to edit, then click Advanced Tag Editor. The
Advanced Tag Editor dialog box opens.
4 Enter track information such as Title, Artist, Album, and Genre, then click OK. The new
track information appears in the Windows Media Player library.
Creating music CDs and video DVDs
Creating a music CD
To create a music CD using Windows Media Player:
1 Click (Start), All Programs, then click Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player
opens.
2 Insert a blank, writable CD into your recordable disc drive.
3 If a dialog box opens and asks you what you want your notebook to do with the disc, click
× to close the box.
4 Right-click the Library tab, then click Music. The Music Library opens.
Important
We recommend that you do not use your notebook for other tasks while creating CDs
or DVDs.
If you record copyrighted material on a CD or DVD, you need permission from the
copyright owner. Otherwise, you may be violating copyright law and be subject to payment
of damages and other remedies. If you are uncertain about your rights, contact your legal
advisor.
Important
Make sure that you use a writable CD for creating music CDs. Most automobile
stereos will not play DVDs.
