13 Insert the end of the keyboard cable between the black plastic hinge and the white
connector.
14 Press the black plastic hinge onto the keyboard cable.
15 Lift the keyboard and insert the tabs on the front of it under the palm rest.
16 Gently press the keyboard down until it is flat all the way across. The keyboard should
easily fall into place.
17 Replace the five keyboard screws.
18 Replace the keyboard cover by following the instructions in “Replacing the keyboard
cover” on page 16.
19 Replace the battery, connect the AC adapter and modem and network cables, then
turn on the notebook.
Important The plug is correctly oriented if the cable is not twisted.
