14 Remove the modem by following the instructions in “Replacing the modem” on
page 23.
15 Remove the hinge covers by following the instructions in “Replacing the hinge covers”
on page 36.
16 Remove the LCD panel assembly by following the instructions in “Replacing the LCD
panel assembly” on page 40.
17 Remove the palm rest assembly by following the instructions in “Replacing the palm
rest assembly” on page 44.
18 Remove the LED panel by following the instructions in “Replacing the LED panel”
on page 48.
19 Remove the CMOS battery by following the instructions in “Replacing the CMOS
battery” on page 51.
20 Unplug the speakers from the system board by following the instructions in
“Replacing the speakers” on page 54.
21 Remove the six screws that secure the cooling assembly shield to the system board,
then remove the cooling assembly shield.
