q Snug all Head Stud Nuts on the Head Studs, then follow the torque sequence below in a 4-step process for the

Head Stud Nuts.

  1.Therstroundshouldbeto25ftlbs.(positions1-10)

2. Then repeat the sequence for 50 ft lbs. (positions 1-10)

3. Followed by 70 ft lbs. (positions 1-10)

4. Lastly tighten (positions 11-15) to 28 ft lbs.

• The amount of Head Stud threads showing above the Head Stud Nut should all be about the same. If one

appears to have more thread, the stud is most likely not all the way in the head.
