The
working environment of Win+Drive (also referred to occasionally as Win+DGFC and
Win-DGFC)
is com-
posed of four elements:
l WIN-DGFC
is the base software of the graphic editor and contains the
New Project
tool
to create a project.
l WIN-PRJ
is the software that allows an user to create an application.
l Visual C++
1.5x is the C Microsoft compiler used to compile the diagrams created with wIN_PRJ.
l
TDlR
is the compiler used to compile the diagrams created with WIN-PRJ for DGFC.
This appendix describes how to install and connect the various elements.
C.2 Minimum system required
The
minimum system required for Win+Drive is as follows:
l
An IBM personal computer or compatible, based on Intel 80386 microprocessor or a later one.
l
Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11 or Windows 95 operating system.
l
At least 8 Mbyte RAM. A 16 Mbyte memory is advised.
l
At least 30 Mbyte hard disk free space.
C.3 Installation sequence
The installation sequence of the following four elements is not critical, but observing the following sequence
will simplify the installation:
1.
TDlR
2. visual c++
1.5x
3.
WIN-DGFC
4. WIN-PRJ
C.4
Recommended Installation Directories’
The current version of Win+Drive expects that software and related tools are installed in the following directo-
ries:
object
Win+DGFC
project
Visual
C++
1.5x
default directory function
c:\win-dgfc
area containing Wm+Drive base software
c:\win-prj
area containing the software to develop the user application
c:\msvc
compiler for the simulation
WOZ60
The working directory is the directory of the
project.
This can be installed where you prefer.
If Win+Drive or a compiler is installed in directories different from those specified in the above table, it is
necessary to take some steps to re-establish
the
connections to
the project
directory. These steps are detailed in
later sections of this appendix.
