Within the main window of Win+Drive several child windows can be placed. Each child window can be
maximized, minimized, resized and closed with the standard Wrndows actions. Within the Window menu
there are some items for arranging the open windows (tiling and cascading) and for arranging the the icons of
the closed windows. Another menu item is provided for closing all windows.
The window menu also includes the list of the open windows. Selecting one of these items will change the
focus to the corresponding window.
Within Wm+Drive there are four different types of child windows:
-
schematic windows for the main scheme and for the compound blocks
-
the output window of the code generation and compilation process

Windows
The schematic windows are the main part of a Win+Drive application. They display the structure of the
program to generate and allow graphical editing of this structure.
The title bar of the main scheme always is
Scheme
while the compound blocks have their names in the title
bar The schematics windows have scroll bars for changing the actual view within the total schematic. They
can be minimized, maximized and resized.
Within the client area of a schematic window there are the following elements:
-
the blocks of the schematics. These can be basic blocks or compound blocks
-
connections between the ports of the blocks
-
input and output ports within compound blocks for connecting them to the next
hierachical
layer
-
texts and labels as comments.
AU blocks and connection lines are placed on a grid. Within the page setup dialog (called from the File menu)
the grid can be sized and made visible and printable.
Schematics can be printed on many pages. The boundaries of the pages for print out are visible within the
schematics as fine lines.
