the groups are defined in the
target.ini
files. They are used to put the index of the logical variable into a
predefined range of the total variable (that normally is an array). “*” marks the default group that has no
index checking.

the value is provided for setting an initial value. This value is used for initialization of the variable within
the generated program.

a comment can be used to describe the logical.
New entries are inserted by the New button, while selected items are deleted by the Delete button.
If an entry

this list is not correct it is displayed in red color.
From this dialog the variable dialog can be opened directly by a command button.
The list can be sorted by the name of the logicals, variables or group names by choosing the sort criteria from
the list and pressing the Sort List button.

A port of a block is connected to a logical by setting the connections type to Variable in the Port dialog
(described in paragraph
54.1).
Within this dialog all available logicals are listed and can be selected.
