9.5 Running fhe Model
The simulation of the model is controlled by items from the
Debug
menu.
-
Go restarts the simulation and sets the variables to its initial values.
-
Step
simulates the model once (one loop)
-
Continue
simulates the model a number of loops that is setup by the Change run steps dialog
-
Stop
terminates the simulation and returns to the edit mode of the schematic.
-if the model has crashed
Unload DLL
can be used to remove it from memory.
The actual number loops that have been simulated is displayed in a button of the task bar
The number of loops that are started by the Continue item is setup by the Change Run Steps dialog that is

Displaying
Values
during Simulation
Besides the display of values in the monitor and trace windows which always display the complete history
during the simulation session, the actual
value
can also be displayed by the quick value option. This is turned
on by the
Quick Value
item of the
View
menu or by a check field of the
Settings
dialog called from the
Options
menu.
If the quick value option is turned on the actual value of a port is displayed if the mouse rests upon it within a
schematic window. A small text window appears. This kind of display is available for all values but shows no
history.
