Chapter 2. Installation
2.4. Base Station Installation
This section will guide you through the installation of the Base Station enclosure, solar panel, weather station,
and necessary electrical connections.
CAUTION! The Base Station weighs 52lbs and requires two people to lift and install.
2.4.1. Enclosure Installation
Once a pole suiting the requirements listed in Section 2.3.1.1 is installed or located, the Base Station
enclosure can then be mounted. The enclosure is to be installed at the recommended height of 49 inches
measured from the base of the pole to the bottom of the enclosure.
When the enclosure is raised to the specified height, insert the routing clamps into the struts mounted on the
back of the enclosure and torque the bolts to 9 ft-lbs. See Figure 1 for proper installation of the routing clamps.
