Transparent Mode—A mode in which payload data remains unchanged from its original format
when it is sent over the air. A radio in this mode is said to be “transparent” to connected equip-
ment at each end of a link.
TX—Abbreviation for “Transmit.” See also RX.
VLAN—Virtual Local Area Network
WAN—Wide Area Network
x710—The generic name for GE MDS legacy transceiver-family products, including the MDS
9710 (900 MHz), MDS 4710 (400 MHz), 2710 (200 MHz) and MDS 1710 (100 MHz).
