Control Knobs The control knobs may be removed for easier cleaning. Make sure the knobs are in the OFF positions and pull them straight off the stems for cleaning. To clean the knobs, place them in a dishwasher or wash with soap and water. Rinse with clean water. Make sure the insides of the knobs are dry before replacing. Normal burner flames should look like B or C depending on the type of gas you use. With LP gas, some yellow tipping on the outer cones is normal.
