Connection Details
Host Port Connector (rear panel)
WARNING! Auxiliary equipment connected to the CARESCAPE V100 Monitor will
result in the formation of an electromedical system and thus, must comply with
the requirements of EN 60601-1-1/ IEC 60601-1. All host port signals are NON-
ISOLATED and should be connected to equipment conforming to IEC-60601-1,
configured to comply with IEC 60601-1-1 ONLY. Where isolation of data
communication is required, GE Medical Systems Information Technologies part
number ILC1926 should be used. If external alarm control is required, GE Medical
Systems Information Technologies part number 487208 (Isolated Remote Alarm
Cable) should ALWAYS be used along with part number 683235 (Hostcomm
Cable Assembly). When a medium- or high-priority alarm condition is displayed
on the monitor, the remote alarm signal becomes active within 0.5 seconds. The
active state of the alarm signal is an open circuit. In the inactive state the alarm
signal is connected to ground. Please refer to the Information Sheet included
with the isolated remote alarm cable for operational details.
NOTE: When using remote alarm, the
V100
Monitor should be considered the
primary alarm source. The secondary alarm is used for secondary
purposes only.
