recommendedtohave8feetofcoiled1/4″tubingto
movewiththerefrigerator(seeInstallationdetails).
Step 1. Preparation
1. Determineinstallationlocationthatwillprovide
easiestaccessforfilterchanges.Forconvenience,
trytomounttheunitwhereitisaccessiblewithout
movingtherefrigerator.Dependingonwhere
thesupplyvalveislocated,thiscouldbeinthe
basement,cabinetundersink,etc.(notnecessarily
behind the refrigerator).
2. Make sure there is 8 feet of extra tubing if
mounting behind the refrigerator (see steps 3a
and 3b).
3. Alloftherefrigeratorinstallationrequirementsmust
be met when installing the filter.
Step 3a. Wall Mounting
1. Systemshouldbemountedtoastudinthewallor
solid firm surface.
2. Use8feetoftubing(coiled3timesapproximately
10″indiameter)betweentheoutletofthesystem
and the refrigerator.
3. Usethescrewprovidedtomountthroughthe
screwholeinthecenterofthemanifold.(Pre-drilla
1/16″pilotholeifneeded.)
Step 2. Cut Tubing
1.Shutoffwatersupplytotherefrigerator.Activate
the water dispenser on refrigerator until water
stops flowing.
2.Turnofftheicemakerintherefrigerator.
3.Thesystemistobeinserted(spliced)intothe1/4″
supplytubethatfeedswatertotherefrigerator.
(Donotcutanywaterlinesinternaltothe
refrigerator.)Ifthefilteristobemountedbehind
therefrigerator,thereneedstobeatleast6inches
of clearance between the wall and the refrigerator.
Iftheappliancemustbemoved,makesurethereis
proper protection on the floor.
4.Cutthetubing(permountingsteps3aor3b),
makingsuretheendsaresquareandclean.
Inspecttheendofthetubing,about1inch,tobe
sure there are no imperfections. Tubing shall be
round,smooth,freeofnicks,cutsorflatspots.
Deburrendswithafileorsandpaperifnecessary.
(Properlycutcoppertubingwillhaveaslightradius
on the end.
