INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Heavy Duty Water Filtration System--GXWH30C (filters not included)
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Check with your state and local public works department
for plumbing and sanitation codes. You must follow these
guidelines as you install the Hea_ 3,Duty Water Filtration
System. Using a qualified installer is recommended.
Be sure the water supply conforms with the Performance
Data. If the water supply conditions are unknown, contact
your municipal water company.

It is highly recommended that a water shut-off vane be
placed directly upstream of your household filter.
PROPER INSTALLATION
This Heavy Duty Water Filtration System must be properly installed and located in accordance with the Installation Instructions
before it is used.
Checkwith yourlocalpublicworksdepartmentforplumbing
codes.Youmustfollow their guidesas youinstall the
HeavyDutyWaterFiltrationSystem.
UsetheHeavyDutyWaterFiltrationSystemona potable,
safe-to-drink,homeCOLDwatersupplyonly.Thefilter
cartridgewill notpurifywateror makeunsafewatersafe
todrink.DONOTuseonHOTwater (lO0°Fmax).
ProtecttheHeavyDutyWaterFiltrationSystemandpiping
fromfreezing.Waterfreezingin thesystemwill damageit.
YourHeavyDutyWaterFiltrationSystemwill withstandupto
100psi waterpressure.If yourhousewater supplypressure
is higherthan100psiduringthe day (it mayreachhigher
levelsat night),install apressurereducingvalvebeforethe
systemis installed.
Do not install on HOTWATER.The temperature of the
water supply to the Heavy Duty ¼_ter Filtration System
mtxst be between the xi/ixlixi/txxllof 40°F. and the maximtxm
of 100°F. See the PerformanceData section.
Donotinstall the Hea D' Duty _tex Filtration System using
copper solder fittings. The heat flom the soldering process
will damage the unit.
WARNING:D ca,dall...sed a.d
packaging material after installation. Small parts
remaining after installation could be a choke hazard.
Donot install filter in an outside location or an},_vhere it
will be exposed to sunlight.

Additional installation parts may be required:
2 fittings to connect household plumbing to 1" female
NPT threads on filter housing. Installation Kit available
to connect to 3/4" copper plumbing:
