IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the
following:

this compactor must be properly installed and

" Unplug the compactor befl_re making any
repairs. NOTE: We strongly recommend that
ally servicing be perfiwmed by a qualified
pesNon.
" Do not use an adapter plug or an extension
cord with this appliance.
, Follow National Electric Codes or prevailing
local codes and ordinances. This appliance
must be supplied with 120V; 60Hz and
connected to an individual, properly
gromlded branch circuit protected by a 15 or
20 amp circuit breaker or time delay fuse.
, If tile electric supply provided does not
meet tile above requirements, call a licensed
electrician.
, Do not, under any circumstances, cut or
remove tile third grounding prong fl'om tile
power cord.
" This appliance must be grounded. Ill
the event of a malfimction or breakdown,
grounding will reduce tile risk of electric
shock by providing a path of least resistance
ti)r electric current.
" This appliance is equipped with a cord having
all equipment grotmding conductor and a
gro/mding plug. The plug must be plugged
into all appropriate outlet that is properly
installed and grotmded in accordance with
local codes and ordinances.

Check with a qualified electrician if wm are ill
doubt as to whether the appliance is properly
gro/mded.

If it will not fit the outlet installed, have a
