Introduction Thank you for purchasing the Bluetooth handset. The new product offers you a unique, wireless experience using Bluetooth wireless technology. It is a model of efficiency, offering wireless connections with iPhone. Please read this guide before use and kindly note that the contents in this guide may be updated without notice. The Bluetooth handset is Bluetooth V2.1 compliance. It is backward compatible with audio devices with V2.0 or earlier.
Warnings Your DECT Bluetooth phone has been carefully designed to give you years of safe, reliable performance. As with all electrical equipment, however, there are a few basic precautions that you should take to avoid hurting yourself or damaging the unit: y Read the instructions in this handbook carefully. Be sure to save it for future reference. y Read and follow all warning and instruction labels on the equipment itself.
Don't expose the cordless telephone to excessive vibrations or dusty, rainy places. y Never try to disassemble or service the equipment by yourself (aside from the routine maintenance described in this handbook). Doing so immediately voids the warranty, and you can cause damage requiring extensive repair work. Always contact your local dealer for assistance. y Handle the batteries properly. Chapter 1: Getting Started Package Contents Once you have unpacked your Bluetooth handset, make sure that you have all of these parts. Connecting Connect the plug of the power supply to the power jack of the base, and then plug the power supply into a standard AC wall outlet. To AC wall outlet Charging Bluetooth Handset & iPhone The Bluetooth handset comes with a built-in rechargeable Li-Polymer battery. Before initial operation, fully charge the Bluetooth handset for 6 hours or more. To charge the Bluetooth handset or iPhone, simply place it on the base.
Battery Use and Care If treated with care, a rechargeable battery has a long service life. A new battery, or one that has not been used for a long period of time, could have reduced capacity the first few times it is used. Note: y Only qualified service centers are authorized to remove or replace the battery. Turning On or Off the Handset To turn on the handset, press and hold MFB for about 3 seconds, then the handset beeps once and the blue indicator lights on about 1 second.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth feature of your iPhone. Click Settings, General, Bluetooth and OFF, then the iPhone searches for available devices. 3. MFB for about 6 seconds until the Press and hold red and blue indicator flash alternately. 4. When the iPhone finds i-450, click Not Paired to connect it with the base. The iPhone prompts you to enter the PIN (the default PIN is 0000). Enter it, then click Pair to confirm.
If you switch off the Bluetooth feature on the iPhone and then switch it on, you should connect it again. Click Not Connected to the right side of i-450 on the iPhone screen. After the connection is successful, Connected appears. Note: y To pair a new iPhone, remember to power off the Bluetooth handset. Disconnecting an iPhone When not using the handset with the iPhone, they can be disconnected as follows: Method 1: Power off the handset.
Chapter 3: Operations Making a Call Using the iPhone Make calls on the iPhone in normal ways. Voice Dialing Your handset also support voice dialing with some iPhones. Before using this function, set up "voice-tags" on your iPhone. MFB twice on the handset within 0.8 seconds. When Press a beep occurs, tell the desired number. Call Switching between the Bluetooth Handset and an iPhone Method 1: Using the iPhone During a call, you can switch between your Bluetooth handset and your iPhone. 1.
Method 2: Using the Bluetooth Handset During a call, press and hold + and - buttons for about 2 seconds to switch the call between the Bluetooth handset and the iPhone. Note: y To use this feature, the Bluetooth handset must be paired and connected to the iPhone beforehand. For more details, please refer to Bluetooth Settings section. Receiving a Call To answer a call, after the handset rings, press MFB to accept the call. You can also answer the call using the iPhone.
Muting a Call During a conversation, you can temporarily mute the microphone so that the party on the other end of the line cannot hear you. You can still hear the other party. This enables you to converse privately with someone near you. To mute the microphone, press and hold - button for about 2 seconds. During the mute mode a prompt tone occurs every 1 second. To unmute the microphone, press and hold - button for about 2 seconds again, a prompt tone occurs.
Standby (connected) Flashes at 3.5 seconds interval (0.5 seconds ON, 3 seconds OFF) During the pair mode, the red and blue indicator flash alternately. Chapter 4: Additional Information Troubleshooting Symptom The handset doesn't turn on. The handset is unable to use with the iPhone. Solution Ensure the battery is properly charged, fully drained battery may take a while to charge up. Contact an authorized service center. Ensure the handset and the iPhone is turned on.
Disable Bluetooth in the iPhone and then enable it again, the disconnected Bluetooth connection between the handset and the iPhone cannot be automatically resumed. Due to differences in each iPhone's software, so it is normal for some iPhone that the Bluetooth connection cannot be automatically resumed. If in this case, please establish the Bluetooth connection manually (See P11 "Connecting an iPhone").
