INTRODUCTION Congratulations on your purchase of the Gefen TV Switcher. Your complete satisfaction is very important to us. The Gefen TV Switcher allows four HDTV HDMI devices to be switched easily into one HDTV HDMI compatible monitor or projector. Simply connect your HDTV display to the Switcher’s display output. The Gefen TV Switcher can also be placed at the end of a long HDMI cable to regenerate the HDMI signal.

CONNECTING AND OPERATING THE GEFEN TV SWITCHER How to Connect the Gefen TV Switcher to your devices 1. Connect the supplied cables from the HDTV HDMI sources into the Gefen TV Switcher inputs. 2. Connect the cable from your display (monitor or projector) into the HDMI out of the Gefen TV Switcher. 3. Plug the 5VDC power supply into the Gefen TV Switcher. How to Control the Gefen TV Switcher Use the RMT4-IR remote control to toggle between sources or press the input button.
RMT4-IR INSTALLATION 1. Remove battery cover from the back of the RMT4-IR remote. 2. Verify that dip switches 1 & 2 are in the down (OFF) position. 3. Insert the battery, hold the battery so that you can see the positive side facing up. The side that is not marked must be facing down. 4. Test the RMT4-IR remote by pressing ONLY one button at a time. The indicator light on the remote will flash once each time you press a button.
CONNECTING AND OPERATING THE GEFEN TV SWITCHER How to Resolve IR Code Conflicts If you are experiencing IR conflicts, you can change the IR Code of the remote and switcher. You can do so by holding the EQ button down for 5 seconds and wait for the LED's to flash in front of the unit. The LED's will flash the current IR channel. Press the Input button to select which IR Code you want to set both the switcher and remote to. Press the EQ button to finish.

WARRANTY Gefen Inc. warrants the equipment it manufactures to be free from defects in material and workmanship. If equipment fails because of such defects and Gefen Inc. is notified within two (2) year from the date of shipment, Gefen Inc. will, at its option, repair or replace the equipment, provided that the equipment has not been subjected to mechanical, electrical, or other abuse or modifications. The two year warranty is only valid on new products purchased as of January 2007.
