TheBi-DirectionalIRfeatureallowstwosimultaneousmethodsofcontrol:
Controlofthesourcedevice/matrixandcontrolofthedisplay.
EachsourcedevicecanbecontrolledfromtheviewinglocationbyconnectinganIRExtender
(Gefenpartno.EXT-RMT-EXTIR)toeachReceiverunit.Thedisplayiscontrolledby
connectingaPACS/MiniPACStothematrix.

Intheexamplebelow,wewillbesettingupIRcontrolforboththematrixandsourcedevices.
Uptofoursourcedevicescanbecontrolledfromtheviewinglocation.Thefollowingillustrations
assumeallA/Vdeviceshavealreadybeenconnected.Seethewiringdiagramonpage10.
1. ConnectanIRExtendertotheIR Ext. jackoneachReceiverunit.EachoftheReceiver
unitsshouldalreadybeconnectedtotheirrespectiveCAT-5outputsonthematrix.
2. ConnectanIREmitterfromeachofthecorrespondingoutputsonthematrixtothe
IRsensorwindowofeachrespectivedisplay(e.g.ReceiverA=SourceA,
ReceiverB=SourceB,etc).
