5.3 Reference Equipment for Type Approval
The Cinterion Wireless Modules reference setup submitted to type approve EHS5-E/EHS5-US
(including a special approval adapter for the DSB75) is shown in the following figure
1
:

1. For RF performance tests a mini-SMT/U.FL to SMA adapter with attached 6dB coaxial attenuator is cho-
sen to connect the evaluation module directly to the GSM/UMTS/GPS test equipment instead of employ-
ing the SMA antenna connectors on the EHS5-E/EHS5-US-DSB75 adapter as shown in Figure 9.
