5.3 Reference Equipment for Type Approval
The Gemalto M2M reference setup submitted to type approve ELS31-V / ELS51-V(including a
special approval adapter for the DSB75) is shown in the following figure
1
:

1. For RF performance tests a mini-SMT/U.FL to SMA adapter with attached 6dB coaxial attenuator is cho-
sen to connect the evaluation module directly to the GSM/UMTS test equipment instead of employing
the SMA antenna connectors on the ELS31-V- / ELS51-V-DSB75 adapter as shown in Figure 10. The
following products are recommended:
Hirose SMA-Jack/U.FL-Plug conversion adapter HRMJ-U.FLP(40)
