The wireless clients seem to be communicating, but they do
not appear in the My Computer screen or in the My Network
Places screen.
Possible Solution:
Verify t hat File and Print er Sharing is enabled on all t he com put ers on your net work.
1. Open Cont r ol Pane l.
Windows XP Users: I f you are using Cat egory View in Windows XP, click Sw it ch
t o Classic View .
2. I n Control Panel, double-click t he N et w ork Conne ct ions icon or N e t w ork and
Dial- up Connections icon, depending on your version of Windows.
3. Right - click t he net work connection for your wireless adapt er and t hen click
Propert ies.
4. I n t he net work connection propert ies screen, verify t hat t he File a nd Print er
Sha ring for Microsoft N et w or k s check box is selected. I f t his it em is not
present , click I nst all. I n the Select Network Com ponent Type box, select
Service and click Add. I n t he Select Net work Service box, select File a nd
Print er Sha ring for M icrosoft N et w or k s and click OK. Close t he net work
connection properties screen.
5. Close t he Net work Connections screen.
