Have you picked a secure User name and Password for the
router?
You want t o have a secure User nam e and Password for the router t o restrict access to
the router set t ings.
1. Access the rout er configurat ion pages by opening a Web browser and typing
1 9 2 .1 6 8 .2 .1 and pressing ENTER.
2. Enter your Login and password when prom pted, then press Ok.
3. Click the
Se curit y t ab. Your current user nam e and password are displayed on
the page.
4. To change your user nam e and/ or password, enter t he new user nam e and
password and click Save at t he bot tom of the page. You will need to log in t o
your rout er wit h t he new user nam e and password.
Passw ord Rule s:

Rout er let s you set a password up to 15 charact ers long.
The m ost secure passwords are usually bet ween 8 and 15 charact ers long.
